The Old Forest. This has always been one of the few places you can escape from society. Tales of wild beast, trees that come to life, haunted spirits, and the supernatural all seem to collide in here. Whether that is the truth is a different story, but the fact that humans and so many of the supernatural believe it, makes it that more enticing. The night sky being lit by the full moon offers just enough light for one to see. The gods did well with this place, that he will give them credit for. The beauty of this forest has far surpassed anything else he has seen in his travels.
After walking for hours in the dead of night, he makes his way to a small clearing. The animals of the night pay him no mind, both staying out of each others way. Sitting on the ground, back rested against a tree, he starts to let the worries of his day fade away. The humans are still vastly ignorant of their place in the world, the Gods still roam free, and there are those of his kind who don't listen to his word. How he wishes for a day in the future when his vision comes to fruition.
As he recollects on his day, it wasn't all to bad. His followers are growing, his prey is starting to put up better fights, and he got to enjoy a nice stroll through the woods. He gazes his eyes upon the moon, the only constant he has found in his life. It has been the one thing to help build a connection to the merfolk, but he feels as though there is someone trying to ruin his relationship with he merpeople.
